Mangels y su esposo Julian son los Fundadores de MangelsDesigns.com.
Mientras Mangels es una artista del scrapbooking y fotógrafa
y tiene una gran pasión por todo lo creativo, Julian
es el “cerebro” detrás del sitio.
Mangels ha venido trabajando en ilustración y fotografía
desde 1987. Ella comenzó con fotografía
convencional, llevando a cabo proyectos especiales para
publicidad y educación. Descubrió la fotografía
digital cuando esta tecnología estaba en sus comienzos
y quedó cautivada por el uso de los programas de
edición gráfica. Comenzó con scrapbooking
digital cuando este hobbie era casi desconocido y los
sitios de scrapbooking digital en Internet prácticamente
inexistentes.
Mangels ha diseñado personalmente las colecciones
de Megakits y otras fantásticas colecciones como
Deluxe Printing Papers y Back & Frame Kits. Es una
experta en segirafía y en esta última colección
y en muchos de los Printing Papers ha querido hacer algo
que recordara a esta técnica, para lo cual utilizó
un programa generador de fractales obteniendo un resultado
verdaderamente diferente de lo convencional. .
Mangels y Julian viven en Miami, Estados Unidos pero continuamente
viajan a otros países donde él mantiene
negocios, especialmente en América del Sur. Ellos
no tienen niños, sin embargo, la música,
el arte, la fotografía y el scrapbooking digital
son sus grandes pasiones.

años de investigación al estudio del estilo
de mobiliario y ornamentos de la epoca renacentista y tiene
una extensa colección privada de mas 5000 estampas
acerca de este arte que han servido de base para llevar
a cabo las extraordinarias colecciones de Classical, Golden,
Renaissance and Venetian Digital Photo Frames que ha diseñado
para nuestro sitio.
John trabaja como experto en restauración digital
y diseñador a destajo y ha obtenido varios premios
en concursos de arte digital. Por su experiencia en la restauración
de imágenes antiguas, le fue encomendado el trabajo
de restauración de la maravillosa colección
de Auténticos Albumes Centenarios de la Epoca Victoriana
que ha cedido para nuestro sitio Beryl Peters, destacado
miembro de la British Ephemera Society.
John está casado con una bella muchacha canadiense,
Deborah. Aunque ella es enfermera profesional, lo apoya
en todos sus proyectos y lo acompañó en dos
viajes de estudio e investigación que realizó
a Italia (1999 and 2002) para el estudio del Arte del Renacimiento.
Ellos tienen dos hijos muy activos, Johnny y Dick, de 7
y 10 años de edad, quienes ya son todos unos expertos

Marcia es la orgullosa abuela de cinco maravillosos muchachos.
Ella vive en Itlay y ha estado en el scrapbooking por
mas de 10 años! Su hija Vanessa, quien vive en
Michigan, US, la introdujo en esta obsesión en
una fiesta de Creative Memories durante un viaje de vacaciones
y ella sintó al instante que era una adicta!
Marcia tiene experiencia en varios programas de edición
gráfica y es una autodidacta con un extraordinario
talento para los relives artísticos y los efectos
tridimensionales, los cuales puso en evidencia en las
colecciones de Photo Corners y Artistic Titles que ha
diseñado para este sitio.
Aunque Marcia está muy ocupada atendiendo conjuntamente
con su otra hija Veronica la tienda de anriguedades que
ella y su esposo Aldo tienen en uno de los barrios mas
populares de Milan, ha querido diseñar estas colecciones
para los miembros de MangelsDesigns como una forma de
"internacionalizar" su talento y compartirlo
con scrappers de otros países.
Marcia adora compartir sus conocimientos de scrapbooking
con otros, mientras los estimula para que encuentren su
propio estilo y creatividad a través de sus propios
layouts. Ella dice que este hobbie ha tenido un rápido
crecimiento en Italia y está orgullosa de haber
sido una de las pioneras de este arte.

Sherri es una mamá
soltera de 37 años de una linda niña de 8
años. Ha sido por causa de ella, y las miles de fotos
que ha venido acumulando en su casa en cajas y viejos álbumes,
que comenzó con el scrapbooking.
Sherri vive en Illinois, US. y siempre tuvo una gran pasión
por todo lo creativo. Su estilo es de una bonita sencillez
con énfasis en las fotos y pocos elementos y ornamentos
para acenturar la página. La colección de
Coordinated Sets que ha preparado para MangelsDesings sin
ninguna duda reflejan este estilo sobrio y simple. Sherri

Sherri ha venido impartiendo clases en una tienda local
de scrapbooking y dice que este hobby verdaderamente ha

Austin es imposible encontrar una foto de Peggi sin él,
por este motivo ella nos ha enviado esta bonita foto para
que todos podamos conocer el motivo de su orgullo. Peggi
vive en Victoria, Australia, y es una adicta al scrapbooking
desde que su prima Maggie, una experta con layouts publicados
en Correspondence ART Magazine y JoAnn's ScrapEssentials
Idea Book, la introdujo a hobbie.
Peggi recientemente descubrió el scrapbooking digital
y adora combinar el scrapbooking tradicional y el digital

Liz vive en el corazón de Londres y dice que no podría
vivir en ningún otro lugar, aunque sus cuatro hijos
y nueve nietos se encuentran fuera de Inglaterra. Pero lo
mejor de esto, ella afirma, es que durante los frios inviernos

María y Lucy son hermanas y han estado con MangelsDesigns.com
desde sus comienzos. Ellas tienen un extraordinario talento
y se puede decir que abarcan todas las manifestaciones
artísticas: fotografía, pintura al oleo,
estampado y cerámica. Son de origen hispano y en
este momento vivien en Los Angeles, California. Estas
polifacéticas mujeres también tienen su
propia carrera profesional: María es abogado y
Lucy es Gerente de Negocios y trabaja en una agencia de
publicidad.
María tiene 32 años de edad y Lucy 30 y
están felizmente solteras, pero les encantaría
conocer los hombres que compartieran con ellas su pasión
por el arte y sus carreras. Sin embargo, mientras esos
hombres no llegan, ellas han tenido la oportunidad de
viajar en la búsqueda de piezas para su otro hobbie:
la artesanía..
Cuando María aprendió las técnicas
del Photoshop, comenzó a diseñar marcos
digitales para fotos que tuvieron gran acentación
entre la comunidad de fotógrafos a la cual pertenece,
los cuales estaban dando sus primeros pasos en fotografía
digital.
Conocimos los marcos diseñados por María
a través de su página web personal y quedamos
cautivados con su arte! Algunos de sus marcos digitales
para fotos fueron las primeras colecciones que se adquirieron
para comenzar esta página web; mas tarde, Lucy
añadió nuevos diseños a las colecciones
de Maria, de tal manera que la contribución de
ambas a este proyecto ha sido extraordinaria.

Aunque nos hubiera encantado seguir contando con los
diseños de María y Lucy, cuando quisimos
expandir el sitio con nuevas colecciones ellas estaban
muy ocupadas con sus propios proyectos. Por este motivo,
emprendimos la búsqueda de un nuevo diseñador
de marcos para fotos y tuvimos la suerte de encontrar
a Jeff.
Jeff es el mas joven del grupo pero no por eso tiene menor
talento. El tiene solamente 27 años de edad y está
todavía soltero (aunque quiere aclarar que tiene
una bonita novia desde hace 3 años, lo sentimos,
muchachas!!). Es un verdadero experto en Corel Photo Paint
y ha venido utilizando este programa de edición
gráfica desde 1996.
Jeff tiene un grado en Ciencias de la Computación
y ahora trabaja como Gerente de Sistemas de una empresa
trasnacional en Sidney. Sus intereses personales incluyen
la fotografía y el repujado sobre metal. Es también
un gran deportista y frecuentemente practica la natación
y el football.
Cuando conocimos a Jeff, él estaba ansioso de diseñar
una colección de marcos para fotos utilizando efectos
plateados y de madera y creemos que hizo un magnífico
trabajo. Aunque ahora está muy ocupado, nos ha
prometido que en cualquier momento diseñará
una nueva colección para los miembros suscritos
de MangelsDesigns.

| Kimberly

Kimberly was born, raised and live in the Great Pacific
Northwest state of Washington. She lives with her husband,
his son and one feisty cat.
She enjoys all creative things and has been involved in
art for as long as she can remember. She knew she would
be an artist from the get go. As a young child, Kimberly
used to fall asleep coloring in her coloring books. Outside
of art classes in high school, she has been pretty much
self-taught.
Kimberly has done paintings in oils, water colors and
acrylics. Her favorite is water colors. She has painted
on most anything; clothes, mirrors, tiles and sinks, murals,
furniture, lamps, glassware and anything else her little
mind can think of. She has designed for several rubber
stamp companies, some of them exclusively. She has also
worked as an interior designer. She currently designs
and creates bead jewelry and her relatively new to scrapbooking.
Kimberly has brought you here on MangelsDesigns some very
pretty things that she has painted with her beloved water
colors and she hopes that her designs will bring as much
joy as she had when she designed them.

Irene is lucky enough to live in the North York Moors
National Park, in the north-east of the UK surrounded
by Nature in all its glory. She is married with a daughter
and two grandchildren.
Irene has been interested in design since she can remember
and in later years taught art and china decoration at
adult education classes in the villages around the area
and at two local schools. She has many and varied interests
and began computer studies some years ago to take her
mind away from the fact she had been diagnosed with cancer,
which is thankfully gone now. It wasn’t long before
she realised that spreadsheets and databases were not
for her, but what she enjoyed most was desktop publishing
and the fact that many interesting designs could be created
using the graphics programmes.
Irene also finds great satisfaction from restoring old
sepia photos and has repaired an extensive collection
of damaged family photos for a local lady, as well as
smaller commissions for other people. For some years she
designed and published her village Parish Magazine as
well as producing leaflets and posters for village events
and local charities.
She believes her interest in Celtic knotwork stems from
her Welsh ancestry. Irene is fairly new to scrapbooking
but has always designed her own cards, which can be hard
work at Christmas, and so has a large collection of design
elements. In fact all her hobbies take up a complete room
in her home!

Jennifer tiene apenas 23 años y es el claro ejemplo
de que los jóvenes se están interesando
por el scrapbooking digital.
Nosotros estábamos en la búsqueda de un
diseñador para motivos patrióticos, Jennifer
nos envió algunas de creaciones y de manera inmediata
nos dimos cuenta que ella era la persona que buscábamos.
Jennifer vive con sus padres y dos hermanos menores en
el corazón de NY y su interés con los motivos
patrióticos nació por su cercana experiencia
al 9-11. Aunque ella era muy joven cuenta que lo que veía
por televisión que ocurría a poca distancia
de su casa la impactó tremendamente. Entonces sus
inquietudes artísticas se canalizaron hacia los
motivos con temas patrióticos.
En su navegación por Internet descubrió
el scrapbooking digital y comenzó a elaborar un
álbum con fotos de revistas del 9-11 a las cuales
añadió sus motivos patrióticos. Son
muchos de esos diseños originales los que ella
ahora quiere compartir con todos los miembros de MangelsDesigns.
Jennifer quiere ingresar a la universidad para estudiar
publicidad y mercadeo, además de que le gusta todo
lo relacionado con el diseño gráfico. Ella
adora a su perro “Ken” y dice que es su mejor
compañía. Jennifer dice además que
la Navidad en NY es la mejor del mundo y adora esa época
para compartir con su familia y amigos.

Primenta / Grecia |
Olga is from Athens, Greece, 33 years old married with
Greg and owner of a beautiful dog, a true source of inspiration
for quite a few of her creations.
Olga has been in graphic design industry for more than
15 years, working as a designer for companies with a big
overflow of creativity.
The last 2 years she moved out from the big city and she
is now living in a small seaside village, working as a
freelance graphic designer.
Scrapbooking have always been a hidden passion, and life
away from the big city lights, equipped her with the so
much needed time to experiment with them.
She has an excellent eye for design and a great passion
for visual arts.
She loves drawing, scrapbooking, knitting and making handcrafts.
She started designing the pet’s collection as an
enthusiastic fan of animals and actually garbed the chance
to share it with all the MangelsDesigns fans.
She thinks that having more time for ourselves is making
us better and more complete as we can explore our creativity
and make small masterpieces out of nothing and share them
with our closest ones.

Manfred & Inga son de Berlin, DE. Con 32 años casados
comparten muchos hobbies, entre ellos el scrapbooking digital.
Su afición comenzó cuando descubrieron un tesoro
al ordenar los cientos de fotos familiares que reposaban en
viejas cajas de zapatos. Había allí fotos de sus
antepasados que ellos nunca se habían detenido a ver.
Comenzaron a indagar en su árbol genealógico para
saber a quienes pertenecían esas amarillentas y olvidadas
imágenes.
Ya sin compromisos laborales y con los hijos crecidos y viviendo
lejos de Berlín, se dedicaron a viajar por Alemania para
conocer los pueblos donde habían vivido sus antepasados.
Pero una enfermedad de Manfred los hizo volver a casa, donde
el siguiente paso fue restaurar las fotos y ordenarlas en álbumes.
Como Manfred siempre ha sentido inquietud por la informática
y tecnología, aprendió Photoshop para hacer él
mismo el trabajo de restauración. Inga, por su parte,
se dedicó a decorar los álbumes con postales y
estampas antiguas.
En su navegación por Internet, Manfred & Inga descubrieron
las Victorian Pre-Made Pages de MangelsDesigns y en el acto
se enamoraron del scrapbooking digital. Ahora hacen sus propios
diseños y como una retribución a la inspiración
que significó para ellos los diseños victorianos
de MangelsDesigns han elaborado una colección de Heritage

Writer/editor and digital designer, Susan and her sweetheart
of 22 years live in Texas with two small dogs and two parrots.
As a mother of two children and grandmother of three, Susan
has a wealth of photo material for her interest in scrapbooking.
It was this interest that led her to MangelsDesigns.
Susan has 30+ years of experience as a writer/editor, and her
expertise has been put to good use at MangelsDesigns where she
recently assisted in a rewrite of the site's text. Amazingly
enough, she says she enjoyed every minute of it! Susan has always
been an avid reader and even as a child, would sometimes get
distracted mid-sentence while reading a book when a better way
to phrase the sentence would pop into her head.
Susan has edited technical manuals, books, newspapers, and magazines
and is a proposal writer in high demand— her proposals
have brought in hundreds of millions of dollars in new business
for her employers over the past 20 years.
With a long-standing interest in art and design, Susan always
had the desire to express her creativity in a unique way. When
she discovered digital design, she quickly realized that this
versatile medium was perfectly suited to her talents and abilities.
To improve her skills in PhotoShop, Susan took courses at a
local college and now applies her knowledge at her current job
where she designs covers for the technical proposals she writes.
In her spare time, Susan experiments with new scrapbook designs.
Susan's premier collection, Wish You Were Here, is a set of
pre-made double page layout designs exclusive to MangelsDesigns
and is perfect for framing your vacation photos or good times
at home. A recent trip to France and Great Britain inspired
Susan to create this collection and provided us a photo of Susan
in Paris that we could include with her bio.

Believe it or not Jen started learning Photoshop in early
January of this year (2007)! With alot of sleepless days and
nights from just having her baby girl in January, in six months
she has learned so much.
Jen is married, and has 3 beautiful daughters. She is a stay
at home mom, and feels so lucky to be able to do so.
Jen and her family live in a small town in Illinois, and her
husband is a farmer. She fell in love with digital scrapbooking
when she figured out that the paper thing was just to hard to
do with three small children. Jen never thought she could design
her own work until she had a special teacher "Shari"
who helped her make it possible to learn Photoshop. From then
on, she designed a lot of special pictures of her children.
Doing so, she thought she would start her own business making
special pictures, Greeting cards, invitations and announcments

Jen was inspired by making the graduation collection for MangelsDesigns
when her mother graduated this year from nursing.

Rachel vive actualmente en Sydney, AU, su tierra natal. Desde
niña ella ha recorrido el mundo con su familia porque
su padre es diplomático. Ella dice que su vida fuera
de su querida Australia tuvo un lado negativo y uno positivo.
El negativo fue cambiar continuamente de escuela y de amigas;
el positivo es que conoció muy de cerca las culturas
de otros países y esto la ha ayudado a crecer como persona
y a fascinarse con la diversidad de razas, creencias, religiones,
etc. lo cual ha tratado de inculcar a sus hijos. Rachel ha vivido
en Brasil, España, Indonesia y Japón y esa diversidad
étnica y cultural la marcó para siempre.
Ahora, ya viviendo definitivamente en su Australia natal continua
teniendo contacto con gente otros países a través
de Internet. Ella confiesa que es adicta al “Internet
Life Style” y todas sus actividades giran en torno al
mundo cibernético.
Casada con Lee y con dos hijos (10, 12), Rachel comenzó
en el scrapbooking convencional hace muchos años. Ella
dice que ya de niña hacía álbumes con fotos,
postales, recuerdos, etc. de los países que visitaba
y que sin saberlo esa era una forma de hacer scrapbooking. Ahora
está completamente enganchada con el scrapbooking digital
y no hay duda que su gusto por lo multicultural y étnico
se reflejan en su estilo.
Rachel ha estado en contacto con MangelsDesigns desde que este
website estaba comenzando y siempre quiso tener su colección
aquí, pero sus actividades (ella trabaja como promotora
de inmuebles) y la atención de su esposo y dos hijos
le dejan poco tiempo libre. Sin embargo, ella nunca abandonó
su proyecto de hacer una colección con temas étnicos
(bueno…. Mangels se lo recordaba de vez en cuando) y aunque
en este momento solo ha diseñado cuatro estupendos kits
(African, Mexican, Spanish and Oriental), ella ha prometido
que pronto aumentará su colección.

Yvonne grew up in Berlin/Germany, 46 years old and grandmother of one. Nearly 30 years she has gained experiences as CAD-drafter in engineering companies as well as graphic designer in the print industry.
Quality and perfection are very important to Yvonne and her sense for creativity and special creations outside the box are helping her to find new challenges. Using her Mac she is an expert in Photoshop as well as in photography. She likes to be in the nature encircled by plants; so it is no wonder that flowers and landscapes are her special motives.
In the last 15 years Yvonne was traveling to many places in the world. At her first journey to Australia she met her husband Jörg 6 years ago. Complying with her heart she leaved Germany and went to Sydney. Jörg is 4D-database specialist for more than 16 years and is supporting his wife at any time.
Yvonne felt in love with scrapbooking when she was looking for new ideas on the Internet. Now, she is creating little arts by using her taken shots of flowers and landscapes and invites you to share her passion with the wonderful "Creative Diversity" and "Nature Medley" Pre-made Pages Collections.

Violet is a graphic designer who resides in British Columbia, Canada, with her husband and two children. She started manufacturing paper for the scrapbook industry 10 years ago. With a love for antiques and folk art Violet's design emphasis was on heritage papers. Her papers and scrapbook pages have been published in many magazines such as Creating Keepsakes and Memory Makers as well as being featured on the DIY network. Recently she has begun to incorporate her designs for digital scrapbooking.
Violet has designed to MangelsDesigns the beautiful Violet Megakits Collection where she has reflected her very particular style. She wants that all members enjoy her kits as much as she enjoyed designing them!

Suzi is a mom and grandmom, with a background so interesting that she never runs out of stories to tell and pictures to scrap. She now lives with her husband and two little dogs in Lewisville, TX.
Suzi spent seven years living in the former Soviet Union, where due to the scarcity of tangible materials, she began scrapbooking online. She has also visited Finland, Turkey, Canada, Mexico, and the Czech Republic, not to mention the number of places she has wandered virtually. She has reflected this wonderful experience in the beautiful Passport Collection with very different, exotic and sophisticated kits with countries topics that she has designed exclusively for the MangelsDesigns members.
She enjoys designing digitally, and adds that skill to her repertoire of other craft abilities. Suzi and her husband homeschooled all five of their children through high school, and taught English, problem solving, and character to orphans and college students, as well as being involved in Women's Ministry at her church. For over 20 years, she and her husband were principles in an advertising agency. Suzi loves kids, animals, and anything crafty.

Although Diana is somewhat new to the scene of Digital Scrapbooking, her ambition and passion is sure to leave her mark in this unique industry.
Diana was born and raised in Texas and married a wonderful man 7 years ago. Along with her husband she has two boys ages 7 and 4. Being a military wife and mother and having to meet the challenges that this demanding lifestyle offers, has given Diana the strength to overcome many obstacles. The digital Scrapbooking world is no different.
Diana being totally self-taught in Photoshop she has already mastered some techniques that have made her designs unique. Her design talents reach farther beyond the digital Scrapbooking world, as she is also a webpage designer. Her passion for this digital art form has her constantly trying new avenues of design.
Diana's skill as a cake decorator and a tax professional have made her acutely aware of how important the smallest of details are and this detail also shows in her work.
In addition to attending to the demands of her family and her work, she enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and introducing them to the Digital world that she calls her "second home". For this reason, she has wanted to share with the MangelsDesigns members her designs with a beautiful collection of awesome kits that will like to everybody.

Kelly Anne is a retired radio disc jockey from California, who now enjoys the peaceful beauty that surrounds her home on Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound. She has two grown children and four grandchildren and would like to have a part in leaving them a better world in which to live. A peaceful world.
She is committed to speaking out for Peace and she does it through her art. She believes that if a picture says a thousand words, there is no better subject than Peace. She often explains that her art isn't about her, it's about all of us. If "self-taught" Kelly Anne can create something that inspires thoughts of Peace, then she is honored to be a part of that.
She joined Mangels Designs about four years ago because she was impressed with the quality and variety she found on the site. She had wondered over the years, if her art might be used here, but had never contacted the designers. When Kelly Anne read that Mangels Designs was looking for graphic designers, she decided to send them a few of her designs. She is now excited to be a part of the design team and has many Peace related ideas for her graphics, to share with the members here.
Kelly Anne has always been musically inclined and still enjoys playing her piano and guitar... when she isn't busy trying to keep up with her many websites. Her passion though, is Peace Art and she does her best to Keep Peace Visible.

Diana joins our team of designers from the Lake Michigan area in the United States. She lives in a "wee, tiny cottage on a lake," harking back to her irish, english, and german ancestry.
Diana is a retired prosecutor from Phoenix, Arizona. initially, she was a legal secretary and legal assistant before returning to college to complete her degrees in accounting and law. After retiring, she moved to the great lakes region to be near her three children and their families. Not only does she have a wonderful human family, but she also counts her fur people and grandanimals as family.
Diana's main hobby is photography and includes photographing landscapes, people, and anything that piques her interest; collecting digital versions of family photos; restoring digital photographs; and scrapbooking. Her overall goal is to preserve family history for future generations. She is not above begging to get a good scan of a heritage photo to restore and post for sharing. as with her personal scrapbook pages, she loves making her photograph collection available to others. She has been involved in genealogy and related photographs with her brother and scrapbooking with her sisters and grandchildren for some time, although she is a relative newcomer to the digital scrapbooking format. Both of her sisters are scrapbook consultants; in addition, nieces and nephews also scrapbook. She credits her family with providing unlimited inspiration for various projects.
Diana's "Just Fun" collection is just that--it is all that is fun about scrapbooking: the creativity, the variety of materials and themes, and the unlimited selection of photos to scrap. The best thing is that if the perfect photo for a layout is lacking, one can go take the perfect photo for the layout. If the perfect layout is lacking, just customize an existing layout or be creative and invent one. The "Just Fun" collection also represents all that is fun about life--both special occasions and everyday moments that seem ordinary now but in the future will be so special.
